Rear Sets

Post by Tuffers »

Do you have them or do you use the standard pegs? I looked at buying some a while back, but couldn't justify paying mega bucks, so I bought the Valter Moto jack up plates instead.

Rear sets every time. Makes a big difference to the accuracy of gear change especially. Plus they are soooo adjustable.

I love my Sato rear sets :)

What cookie said.

I've got aprilia performance rear sets on the RSV. Much easier gear changes, better positioning on the brake leaver (and master), plus way more grip on the pegs. Well worth what I paid for them.

+1 for the rearsets. They're not cheap but an excellent mod for most bikes.

But I wasn't impressed with Gilles. I think there are much better makes out there.

Totally agree. Gilles bolts were made of cheese IMO.

Rearsets are far better than most oem arrangements, but they do tend to throw your weight onto your wrists a bit more than normal, tbh for track use they are one of the best mods due to proper weight distribution.

I think the track bike has Harris rear sets on it. If so they still look good and they are far from new.

Yeah really like all Harris products and got loads of their gear on my bike including rearsets. If there goo enough to make stuff for WSBK, Moto2 & Motogp there good enough for me.

I also have SES rearsets on the Blade and for the money I don't think you can beat them. As Others have said I have heard many a bad thing about the quality of Gilles products.

Had rearsets on every bike I have owned in the last 12 years, an essential mod IMO.

It's SES I've got on the 675 and I'd second all Blade good comments about them, they are a UK firm, the kit is made in-house by themselves, most parts are available individually, those that aren't are in a parts kit and depending on which style you have there's a choice of foot peg design.

Accossato are the same standard as Harris. We used to get a 10% discount from that place. Call him and see if we still do.
