On visordown they reckon that engine will be in something the size of the 636. Want a go?

I'm relatively new to biking so hopefully got a few years left! I realise there is an inherent risk with it but then if you were to avoid all risks you would never leave the house.

Dammit that ∆∆∆ was meant to go in 'retiring from biking'

I'd like to hope it shakes up the established order of things in the bike world, it needs a kick in the pants right now, the poor economy has stagnated design, so it needs a pioneering idea to set it going again, we've seen two strokes dominate then disappear, cradle frames made obsolete, water cooling become common place, forks tuned upside down and the monoshock become essential. Bikes need to change and there's been nothing new since the exup valve and beam frames. Bring it on I say!

Agree with Deegee this is a very exciting bike. If a litre bike can end up the size of a 600, 600s will be the size of a 125! Also well done Kawasaki for pushing the boundary in a class that is shrinking rapidly. Just what the market needs. Could be this vs the new s1000rr in 2015.
Edit don't know why I keep posting the wrong message in the wrong thread. Sorry for the random gsxr pics!!!

I wonder how groundbreaking it'll be?

I suspect there isn't too much to the design plan. Make it the fastest production bike and fill it will electric gizmos. There are references to the old H2 but I think it only shares a name.

Anyway, not too long until we find out. I think it's unveiled at the end of the month.

Good work from Kwak though, there's lots of interest in it.

I'm in no doubt the only similarity to the H2 will be the name and the fact it has two wheels, but it's the fact someone is trying something new and breaking away if only a little bit from established thinking. If the market grabs onto it someone else will have to go for another radical design and that leads to new and sometimes much better. Anyone remember the Suzuki Katana? Utterly different to anything before it, but it changed thinking and gave us bikes like the Superduke. I like new if it's different, new for new's sake is just marketing.

That's a bit disappointing. It doesn't sound that special to me.

No idea. There seems to be a lot of guess work.

I think Kwak release the information at the end of this month at one of the bike shows.
