Thanks for the offer Tony. Washing and drying goretex is supposed to make it work again. I'll see how I get on.

Hi Rich.. Same here on the snapped shin d30 armour on my old Rukka trousers. Bloody £40 replacement. I also found wet crotch on trousers but put that down to condensation having been base level Rukka goretex. I should have tried washing like you said. I never knew that. Anyway I just got a set of new Rukka outfit.. Due to selling the r1 i shelled out big bucks on top line Rukka kit.. That pro laminate stuff. I'm hoping for monsoon to see if it's any better. Will let you know if £ equates to quality or if it's just bllx :)

@Rossgo - not sure mate. I only looked up advice for GoreTex

@R1ck - that patch of cloth on the seat of the trousers seems to attract the damp. I might wax it or treat it with some waterproofing.

@kwak yeah I get you. Also it wears out pretty fast! It's too anti slip for a seat and so can't see it lasting too long. Although damp still shouldn't get through the goretex I would have hoped given its crucial position of that path. Most obvious place for getting wet :)

I've had an email this morning from FC-Moto telling me they're sending out the replacement armour. I don't know who has paid for it, FC or Rukka.

Washing the trousers seems to have worked. It wasn't a nice ride in to work but I'm dry.

My trousers are leaking again, through the pockets and the seat. I've asked FC Moto if I need to go through them or Rukka.

FC-Moto have said they'll take the trousers back but they're not sure if Rukka will replace or repair. It's a pain but for now I'll return them and in the meantime get some waterproofs to go over my leather jeans.

FC Moto have emailed to tell me they've got the Rukka trousers and they have passed them on to Rukka for assessment. They will let me know as soon as they hear anything.

The repaired trousers have come back. They've replace the membrane on the seat and refreshed some of the stitching.

Hopefully it'll be a while before I find out if it works.
