Circuit Val De Vienne

Post by C00kiemonster »

Well it was a nice day today, so i went to my local race circuit - Val De Vienne. Its only 40 mins away cross country and ive been past it a few times, but wanted to suss it out for race meetings (French Superbike Championship and GT cars go there) as well as the occasional cheeky trackday :)

Great place, lovely relaxed atmosphere! Its a holiday here in France today so we just popped over to see what it was like. It happened to be a trackday - very well organised, lots of space, lots of serious track kit and seemingly run in a similar way to the uk with 3 sessions for Novice, Inters and Fast.

Far more laid back than in the UK. We could wander anywhere, talk to anyone - really felt welcome.

Very clean and tidy, very modern facilities too. Twisty circuit with a reasonable start finish straight:

Here are a few pics i took (tiny canon camera - sorry)

Parked the car next to some italian shite:

And an onboard :)

I may not have time this year for a trackday, but will certainly try one next year when i have more time!

It was the fast group out when I took the pics, but the novices and inters seemed to have a decent mix of both. I saw plenty of road gixers and blades. The french love triumphs too seemingly and there were plenty of those.

I certainly felt I wouldn't be out of place taking the mirrors off the RC8 and razzing it round :)
