you can probably get them refitted to another bike. Wont need tyre warmers.

That's shit that they have done that. I hope you manage to find out who they are and give them a good kicking.

What a fecking stupid thing to do.

I hope they get the justice they deserve but sadly i suspect the police don't give a shit and probably the scum know that too.

Your 100% right unfortunately Duke.

The dealer I spoke to Aberdeen was telling me the police were finding stolen bikes in the back garden of the gange known to be committing the thefts and the bikes had their finger prints all over them. You would surely think instant arrest, job done jual the scumbags and throw away the key. Annoyingly not the case. Scum bags say they found them and brought them home to keep them safe whilst trying to locate the rightful owners (swear)

The police do a difficult job and in most cases they do it very well, but when their tied up in such bollocks it is very frustrating and you wouldn't be able to blame the public for taking matters into their own hands imo as this particular gang were very well know prolific offenders.

Which insurers are you with? I take it they're not arguing about this claim?

Tony very sorry to hear about this. Absolute scum all of them. I swear we need to get everyone who has ever had anything nicked start our own gang and hunt these t&ats down. Insurance is a bugger, they will quite happily bend you over spank you and tell you that it was all your fault. Their legalised thieving barstards

Any news from the insurance company?

Have you started looking for a replacement?

I spoke to insurance earlier. They'll be collecting the remnants of my tiger this week and will pay me off for it. Then comes the task of sorting out the finance company and GAP insurer. Good news also is that my NCB is still 5 years, good old NCB protection
I won't have to get a Chinese 250cc after all.

I popped into Alf England in Bedworth earlier to pick up a part for my sisters bike and was having a nose around at the Suzukis and Yammys but nothing took my fancy. I do like z1000sx's though.....

How old was the bike? If it's less than 12 months old the insurers may offer you a replacement.

Have you notified your GAP Insurers? If not I would do that ASAP.

My GAP insurers didn't pay out. They said I had to take the replacement bike, even though I didn't know if I could ever ride a bike again.

It was a 2014 bike. I spoke to the GAP people and Black Horse the day after it was nicked. I have to take the bike if it's offered which I will anyway. I have to send the GAP peeps the offer the insurance company make and they then sort it out between themselves. If I get a new Tiger out of it, great. If I get a payout, great.

how does the insurance work, I'm pretty sure when I wrote off a car I had a few years ago, my insurance paid out the value of my car but straight to the GAP people and then they paid the rest of the outstanding finance off and I was left with no car and no money but no outstanding finance.

That's about the short of it. It depends how much deposit you put down and how much the bike depreciated.

I lost about £2k.
