Done a contact less wash and its come up well. The sealant I put on just makes dirt fall off

I'm going to apologise in advance for the pictures which will be posted of my (currently) minging bike as it will be getting a very thorough clean soon. I'm probably going to compound, polish, seal and wax it plus spend a great deal of time trying to remove the melted rubber from the undertray. I think it's 8 years old.

Soft99 fusso coat wax. Weirdly although its called wax in its name, Its not a wax its a polymer based sealant.

That stuff is all anyone talks about on the detailing Facebook pages. Easy to apply, good gloss and good protection.

How did you hear about it?

Was reading feedback on Polished bliss on all the products and that one seemed to meet my needs and budget best, so I gave it a try and can confirm it lives up to the recommendation

Autoglym Polar Blast but I might try a foaming citrus pre wash next to see if it's any better at cleaning. I've heard great things about Bilt Hamber Auto Foam but everywhere is out of stock at the minute

Yeah was think of trying BH Auto foam as similar money as Polar Blast for twice the amount although as you say everywhere out of stock.

Check the dilution ratios and work out the true cost. Autoglym recommend 1:5 (600ml total product which is enough for a car). 25 washes out of 2.5L. Currently on offer at £13 direct from Autoglym. So you're looking at about 50p per wash. If you have a smaller orifice you would probably get away with 75ml product to 500ml water.

Do you have a foam cannon?

Yes I have a snow foam cannon and BH Auto Foam is similarly 1:5 mix ratio but 5 litres of BH is simialr money to 2.5 litres of AG so that makes BH 25p per wash compared to AG at 50p per wash

Its £17 in Halfords. Buy direct from Autoglym for it at £13.

I think Bilt Hamber Auto Foam works out cheaper. Its about twice the price for twice the amount (source: Amazon) but dilution is a lot more water from what I can tell... look how bloody complicated they make it.

Yeah I've seen that formula and according to PB it typical equates to 1:5 ratio on most power washer lances. Will have to give it a try next time I've got the washer out.

I can get 5 litres of BH auto foam for 17

Compared to

2.5 litres of Polar Blast for 12.24 with halfords trade card. Thats the regular trade price when its normally 17 not just when its on promotion.

So BH works out cheaper, just wondering if you had used it and what you thought. I've not used their auto foam but other BH products I've used have been really good and they normally do very well in the AE awards.

PB for polar blast? Dilution is typically 1:5 although I was using 2:5 for the bike to make sure it clung.

Not sure the actual dilution for BH.

Where do you get it for that much? I'm wanting to try that or a citrus prewash next so would be good to know.

I've not tried it but everyone loves it. Forensic detailing runs mostly BH stuff.

Blade, I just realised it has a high Alkaline PH... that means it can break down protection so I guess use with care. Polar Blast is at least PH neutral so safer for waxes and sealants.

Just a thought really.. could be a problem for your protection.
