The Public Sector

Post by Kwacky »

This appears to be the next target for the government and its attempts to cut costs.

Expect loads of stories being "leaked" about cash being wasted on frivolous projects or people being paid too much.

The public are being primed for another bout of austerity. Sadly a lot of them will fall for it.

There isn't much left to actually cut anymore.

Tax increases are the only way out this time.................. if they were honest about it.

Very easy target, you'll notice that the army guys are being used to do the covid testing while being accommodated in some sh1t hole away from their families, I am sure that they will enjoy the pay freeze.
I bet that MPs and the royals will still get paid more money and expenses than they need and still get an increase.

Didn't MPs just give themselves a decent pay rise?

Anyway, you have to feel sorry for them. I don't know how they manage to survive on their salaries, especially BOJO the clown who was moaning about his meager £150,000 that he has to survive on.

MPs get a pay rise every April. They had a vote a few weeks ago to stop it. They voted "no". They'll get an extra 7% next year.

Plus expenses.

It's a sickening amount of money to take when you consider the number of people suffering financially this year.

My crap maths works it out to be this. If you are on minimum wage and work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, for 50 weeks a year then you'll earn £17,440 before tax.

For **** the country up and generally bring a twat that has done nothing of any value you'll get a pay rise of £10,500 before "tax" (dodging)

They should put that on the side of a bus and drive it round the country.

How do their salaries compare to equivalent posts in Germany, France, etc.??
I'm guessing that they are somewhat in the same ballpark??
(At least, that's what a quick scan of the 'net seems to indicate..)

They all make a fortune afterwards though. Even the likes of May can fetch ludicrous fees for doing a speech.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, all MPs other than the PM are allowed to have other business interests, so can run their own company making as much money as they like.

Why?

She's been having a go at Johnson during PMQs. It's been entertaining.

I still would not bet against her being a stand-in PM when Boris gets the boot.

In fairness to May, while her deal was terrible, it was better than anything Boris could achieve.

The deal wasn't that bad actually. It was a half way house but it had scope for both parties to make changes.

Johnson and his mates made very effort to block it. Just so they could force May out and get Johnson in.

...and leave with No Deal.

Now Johnson realises leaving with No Deal might be disastrous for the UK and potentialy even lead to its break up.

That's fine though..... what they do once they're off the govt payroll is up to them. You start getting into what they may or may not do later on down the line and you're getting into stuff that only they can, and only they should, have a say in.

The twat Boris gets a pension of 50% of his last salary when he leaves office irrespective of how long he has been in office.
