Because you're not a refugee.

Because you can travel to a country and ask in person to become a citizen if you want to.

Because you're free to make the application without having to worry about your house being bombed, your street gassed, you and your family dragged out of the house in the middle of the night, never to be seen again.

Because you're not at risk of being put in an "education centre"

Because you're not going to be killed for having the wrong religion or political beliefs.

Because Jack, you're safe.

International law was drawn up to protect refugees from idiot Prime Ministers and Presidents who use them to justify their hate filled divisive politics whilst they hide behind a failing manifesto.

The origins of it go back as far as ancient Egypt and Greece.

I don't believe any of those things are happening in France or Greece or Spain or Italy .
I don't believe there is war and despotic regimes everywhere these people are coming from .
I believe that in many cases these people are economic migrants and are purposefully avoiding using the proper channels and procedures as they are very likely to be unsuccessful in their application .
If you were truly intent on seeking asylum and not just disappearing why would you pay some people smuggler hundreds or thousands of pounds when you can get on a ferry for fifty ?

For every refugee the UK takes in, France takes three and Germany takes four.

Maybe if our Government and other governments did not seem so intent on playing a part in destroying their homeland, they would not want to leave it.

Another interesting site for: DATA VISUALISATION ON ASYLUM. This is based on Q1, I find it fascinating on who is going where.... I think a lot of people who think the whole world is coming here would be surprised.

I am just glad I am not in a war torn country having to leave everything I have worked for just to survive, not just my town but leave me whole country behind.

Good stats, Frankie

As if 10,000 refugees per year is going to make much difference to anything.

Maybe the EU system of kicking people out if they're not economically independent after 6 months is something we should have adopted?

Brexit doesn't give us back control, quite the opposite. We no longer have border presence in mainland Europe and we can't share data nor cooperate with other countries to track and target movement of people and their smugglers.

India has said it wants immigration to be part of any trade deal and we've offered over 2m Chinese refuge.

The facts about numbers and where people are heading are easy to find. Sadly people want to believe we're the number 1 destination, which simply isn't true.

There's a lot of lies peddled about immigration.

The companies I sell to are desperate for staff which are mainly eastern European becuase they work hard and are conciensuos, many are now leaving the UK . I always ask why dont you employ people from the UK and the answer is they are lazy and dont want to get out of bed in the morning
I go to a takeaway near me the guy is from Lebanon, he came to the UK because he watched he entire family get blown to peices and his home flattened ,he now owns three successful businesses, employs 20 people and contributes to the economy .His option of staying in his home country was being forced into the army ,his burgers are really nice I am glad he paid 20k to come and live in the UK

A very interesting article on refugees. I found it really interesting that a lot of people choose the UK as their destination due to historic colonial links in their home country.

The lowlife developing in the UK is scary.

The thing that scares me most is the sheer number of dog thefts going on! That's low life second to child molestation IMO.

So it's...
1. Child molestation.
2. Dog theft.
3. Murder.
4.Kidnapping.
Etc.....
The Kennel Club will be thrilled.
