WTF?

Finally a sensible policy from the government, admittedly about a year too late. I guess some touch Tory donors are having trouble taking their holidays under a guise of business or something.

They do, just hard getting flights. And there is a cap on numbers. So a lot of people are in the queue. Also have to have a negative test before flight ans come hang in Howard Springs with me for 2 weeks.duke63 wrote:Could be worse.

Re: Coronavirus - hype or pandemlc?
I have to do 5 COVID tests a trip to work now.
1. Within 72 hours or getting on the helicopter prior to coming to work
2. 5 days after being on the platform. Segregation offshore till negative test result.
3. 72 hours prior to flying off the platform back into Aussie.
4&5. Day I arrive in Quarantine and day 10 of quarantine.
Luckily I had a septoplasty in 2018 and it’s like a highway up my snoze now.

I'm hearing ya... 20 tests a year for 4 trips to work is excessive..C00kiemonster wrote:I cant help thinking thats excessive.kiwikrasher wrote:I have to do 5 COVID tests a trip to work now.

But unfortunately in the eyes of the company and govt. each of those test requirements have valid reasoning behind it.
I have been doing 3 a trip, but now we have cut pre-work quarantine, need the extra tests to get offshore.

I kind of think fair enough with regard to the number of tests. It keeps you from spending so long in quarantine and keeps your income rolling in.

A terrible tragedy. Fausto Gresini has died, he succumbed to complications from the Covid-19 infection he has been battling since December.
