It's worth it though.

A friend of ours, their youngest, tested positive with only cold like symptoms.

Household of 5 now in isolation for 14 days, as is her whole school bubble and their families.

Schools in Australia have now made it mandatory if you have any cold/flu like symptoms you have to have a negative test result before you can come back to school again... personally I think it's fair enough. 9/10 it's an over kill, but that 1/10 is what is causing the problems, so worth trying to catch it early.

Hope both the kids feel better soon Kwacky, and get neg results (y)

Someone from work has died. 56 year old white male. No other issues.

A lawyer from my department has been off with it for 3 weeks. She's back working but really struggling. She's only 24. Said she's completely drained of energy and gets breathless pretty quickly.

We've had outbreaks at 4 of our offices despite the huge reduction in staff going in. I think one guy is in trouble - he's been going in without telling anyone, which is bad enough, but his son has been at home for a week as two kids in his class had it.

A colleague was telling me about his grandson being off school because one parent sent thier child in with covid symptoms while waiting for the test results... 1 week later 50 cases and the whole year group isolating.

How far does it need to go before it's a criminal offence?

I thought it already was and offence to not isolate if you have symptoms?

As for minors, well the parent/guardian/career is legally responsible for them following the law.

No idea but i was hearing yesterday of someone loacl to me who has been dismissed for Gross Misconduct for attending work knowing he had tested positive and not self isolated himself. He passed it on to another member of staff whose parents them contracted it, one of them ending up in hospital.

One of my clients who I attend on a weekly basis has gone down with it and is quite poorly. Very breathless and unable to move about much at all. He is 12 years younger than me.

Being overweight is definitely a significant factor in how ill it will make you.

Do you feel that the punishment fit the crime in that instance, or went too far, etc.??

He is putting lives at risk. When isn't that a sackable offence in the workplace?

Its starting to run out of control round here.

I am hearing of loads of people close to me or around being tested positive. There is no doubt being overweight and never exercising makes anyone much more susceptible to serious illness from covid.

I think its a given anyone will need proof of being vaccinated to enter another country soon...

And airlines are jumping the gun.

I'm not surprised.

It'll be interesting to see how far this goes though. Will all international travelers have to have it? There's a lot of anti vaxxers and conspiracy theorists out their.

According to that report, the Qantas CEO says its already been discussed in the industry and he believes most airlines will follow suit.

Today's briefing seemed to be nothing more than an advert for the vaccines.

The allocation of tiers is a bit shit. I've got tier 3 areas 3 sides of me. I'm in tier 2.

We are tier 3.

I cannot in all honesty see much changing until either the vaccine is rolled out and shown to work or until we have warmer weather in the spring.
