Isn't it the knock on effect to everything (& everyone) else that's really going to radically change the UK.? Doubtless the blinkered muppets who were manipulated into believing Brexshit was a good idea, will be equally easily duped into blaming the EU for the death knell they themselves have dealt to our United Kingdom.

There was an article I read the other day by a former UK ambassador to the EU.

He was asked if he thought it likely that the EU and UK would try to bridge some of the gaps left.

He said he thought UK EU talks would be an ongoing thing iver the coming years as there will still be some many holes but didntbthink the current crop of UK politicians would want closer ties.

However he did say in 10 years time he could foresee the next generation wanting to repair EU UK relations and they would want a closer relationship in many ways.

I read that a lot of bars and restaurants particularly in London and the South are struggling to find sufficient staff to reopen as they employed many EU citizens and a lot returned back home, never to return.

I am still waiting to see that first Brexit benefit.

The UK and Norway have been unable to reach an agreement about fishing.

So UK fishing vessels are now banned from Norwegian waters.

Guess where the cod are? it now means that the cod sold in our chip shops will be from Norway, because there's still a tariff free trade deal with Norway

The UK economy is currently being propped up by Government grants and furlough.

There is going to be an almighty crash at some point.

manufacturing is having a massive resurge but i am not sure if its an effect of Covid but the industry I am in is booming

Its because there is so much Government cash floating around in the system. Pretty much all the businesses i deal with are struggling for materials, not work.

I found out last weekend that my neighbours are furloughed yet their Company is still bringing in as much business as it does normally because their son is doing all the work.

yes same here massive shortage of materials and inflated material prices with stupid delivery times

I'm sure he could get staff if he paid people a reasonable wage rather than relying on the benefits system to make up the shortfall.

That's true of a lot of places sadly. Most benefit claimants work.
