I switch off anytime someone tries to sell me the idea of trickle down... much like pyramid schemes, it's a scam.

That's a very good analogy for Neo-Liberalism (trickle down economics), people at the top of pyramid schemes make all the money.

Is it?? Because one is fairly sound (yet often disputed) economic theory. The other is a clearly illegal practice.

Trickle down does not work.

Never has done.

Never will.

Yes but only for machinery that you want to use yourself, we in the EU don't want want it. Perhaps you could sell some to south Korea, or maybe they make their own.
Perhaps you could produce cheaper lawnmowers without a CE mark, after all the UK is a green land and grass always grows, hang on a minute, the Chinese imported lawnmowers are much cheaper.
Oh well, you will all have to just accept what the people who voted for brexit wanted.

I was not allowed to vote in the referendum, but I now have my French residency card so I am staying here in the EU, where I feel at home.
Just as an aside, I went out for a nice long ride on Saturday as there is no lockdown here and it was lovely and warm. ;)

5m people who had a right to vote weren't allowed to. The whole thing was a scam.

The reality is biting now - ending free movement for EU citizens in the UK comes at a massive cost to a lot of British people. Its amazing how little the focus was on what we as Brits would actually lose and was all pushed aside as project fear.

The deal is a complete and utterly shambles. Brexit only appeases the xenophobic.
