Why does Cummings get the say over everything? Why can't they just boot him out?

Cummings is the organ player of the Tory party at the moment. Everyone else is just monkeys/puppets/expendable.

Why do you think he got away with his behaviour during lockdown. Boris knows his place, how he got there, and who he needs keep to stay where he is.

If Boris goes, I can’t see senior Tories wanting Cummings around. His policies to date are all failures.

I would agree with that, but they mitigated that issue a long time ago by replacing anyone who questioned them. The inner circle is now people who will agree with what ever they say regardless of their personal feelings, and they also know if they disagree that they will get sacked.

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is moving about 200 billion euros ($230 billion) from the U.K. to Frankfurt as a result of Britain’s exit from the European Union, a shift that will make it one of the largest banks in Germany.
Could this be the start of the financial services industry abandoning ship?

It always was a ludicrous idea. Everyone us about to find out just how ludicrous and unworkable it is.

We will have double figure inflation and a crashed economy.

Just 3 days to go before we hear about this magic deal they've struck with the EU.

I had this email from the Government this morning.

laughable, they take no responsibility for anything. They created this mess, why should business fix it for them? As if businesses don't have enough to worry about right now!

There will be guaranteed changes from 1 January for businesses as we start our new relationship with the EU, and there are many actions you can take today to prepare. Find out what you need to do by visiting gov.uk/transition and using the checker tool.
I know these are challenging times, however it is vital that your business prepares now for our new relationship with the EU, outside of the single market and customs union.
There are 80 days until the end of the transition period and there will be no extension, so you need to act now.
Regardless of whether we reach a trade agreement with the EU, from 1 January there will be guaranteed changes to:
• the way businesses import and export goods;
• the process for hiring people from the EU; and
• the way businesses provide services in EU markets.
Help is available, and as Business Secretary, I encourage you to:
1. Check what actions you need to take by visiting gov.uk/transition.
2. Sign-up for updates.
3. Attend government webinars for additional support, you can sign up to attend BEIS webinars now.
Unless you take action, there is a risk business operations will be interrupted. You should also check with your suppliers and customers that they are taking action.
Businesses will play an essential role in ensuring a smooth end to the transition period, and the government and I will be there to support you as we embark on the UK’s new start.
Yours Sincerely,
Alok Sharma
Secretary of State for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy

The best bit is they say there will be changes and we need to prepare for them, but they've yet to agree the new laws, rules, and processes that businesses will have to adhere to!

They're gearing up to blame the EU as well as UK businesses for any problems. You just know that any queues of lorries will be down to owners not completing paperwork.

I am just glad I dont go to Kent anymore for work, Its going to be a car park again. park up all the lorries on the motorway networks, and everyone takes to the A & B roads, some of which are very small through lovely quaint villages.....
