Clapping would indicate that we support the work they are doing though.

And to think the scaremongering by the Tories at the last election was about Labour's spending plans!

Our credit rating has been downgraded a couple of times over the last decade as well, so borrowing will have been more expensive.

Throw in the uncertainty over Brexit and it's looking like a financial shitstorm.

Whist i appreciate the tax rise would not just be applied to income tax, if they did it would amount to approx 13% increase in the basic rate of tax.

That shows the scale involved.

The UK credit rating has been downgraded again. Now it stands at Aa3.

It was Aaa when Labour were last in power.

But we all know Labour destroys the UK economy.

How much of the downgrading is a direct result of Brexit, Coronavirus, etc.
It can't just be about the last time Labour were in power vs. the Tories currently in power, etc.??

At least I hope not. :D

This is the third time it's been downgraded since the conservatives were in power.

The lenders base it on the economic performance of the Country and the ability to to repay what they might borrow.

We are led by a bunch of **** spending and wasting cash like it has no value. You can't even say its tax payers cash now as they are getting in far less than they are spending so they are borrowing a huge amount of it.

From Moody’s website:
‘The UK’s growth prospects have weakened significantly, with years of weak productivity growth and tepid business investment exacerbated by the pandemic and the likely effect of Brexit. The government’s already-high debt will increase further during the pandemic. Underlying the economic and fiscal deterioration is a weakening of the UK’s policymaking framework.’

Johnson just slammed the door shut in the faces of the people who turned to blue and voted his party in at the last election.

I won't say it serves them right because the Midlands is next. I just hope they realise and remember you can't trust the Tories to look after anyone apart from themselves

Johnson passed the onus for shutting down areas to Councils a few months back so he would not take the responsibility for local lockdowns.

Its come back to bite him hard. **** idiot!

It seems like not caring for kids isn't just an American thing.

The Tories lost the "no money" argument a very long time ago.
