Re-Waterproofer

Post by Cav »

There's a few all-weather riders in here so I'm assuming you've got some experience on this.

My dog walking waterproofs are filthy and need a wash. I also want to re-waterproof them while I'm at it.

Does anyone have recommendations for me?

I use this stuff on my walking kit. It's wash in but make sure you run the washing machine empty on a high temp a few times first.

Not sure what the material is Kwacky.. just your typical wet weather clothing.

I popped to GoOutdoors after a tip run and got that stuff, it came highly recommended.

Defo would suggest any Nikwax product- I use their leather cleaner and restorer and always some up sparkly new, I have used their waterproof stuff to on certain things and never had an issue

That's the stuff I bought in the end.. since washing them I haven't had the displeasure of testing it. It did make my red raincoat look WAY brighter though !!

Hopefully won't have to test it just yet Cav, but fairly certain Nikwax will protect you, just remember to keep treating the garment based on their recommendation
