Nuts and bolts full rebuild. Just think how good it will be when you have finished.

I've seen some crap ones before. I'm sure yours will be fine. You might well find a replacement frame? Just a thought....

I did wonder! Just don't want to end up with another frame in same condition!

Might be worth asking if it is in one piece. £99 seems worth it to be, depends if you have a local place who could reweld it with a new piece in it? Matty mighty do it for you not sure if that's his thing..?

Going to take it to the local welding place and see what they can do!

That frame on eBay probably won't have much chance of a sale, so might just low ball them!

So...bit of a dilemma now.

Option A - If I can my frame welded up, it will do the job, but I don't know what damage the rust has done elsewhere in the frame.

Option B - If I get a replacement frame, in theory I should tell the dvla and will most likely end up with a new reg or q plated. However I'll have what's hopefully a solid bike. Or just don't tell the DVLA?!?

you could get your exisiting frame welded up then E coated which will also coat the insisde of the tubes

Swap over the frame ID plates, don't say squat. I did the same with a car I restored many years ago. I looked into doing it legit, and it was a right PITA. Just bypassing the red tape in the end.

Mac close your eyes (tmi)

Funny thing the car body I used started life as a NZ cop car and ended with me semi-illegally converting it (devil)
