Got some grouting to do in the week and then it's onto astroturf (hopefully this week) and cladding (arriving Thursday) as far as the rest of the exterior goes.

For the interior we need to finish the worktops and cupboards then move everything out of our dining room back into the workshop

They look very shiny. What's the wet grip like?

I'd just hosed them clean.

They're R11 rated (which means something) and wet grip isnt too bad actually. My shoe kind of suctions on as I walked across them. The tiles have are very flat but have a surface texture to them

R9 - Lowest slip resistance. Requires bath mat.
R10 - Usual standard for kitchen floor
R11 + R12 - Lowest acceptable anti-slip resistance required for public areas including swimming pools and airport floors
R13 - Typically used in swimming pools

They're from Stone Paving - Villa Porcelain - Brava Crema.

They feel lovely underfoot, very hard, very cool to touch even after a day in the sun (good for the pooch and baby human feet). They're also one of the few porcelain products which come in mixed sizes They aren't that bad to lay either just make sure you buy some glazing packers to protect them when laying

We braved the heat and had an extremely productive weekend - enjoy !

When you've settled in life and had your house a few years you should build your own house. Financially a good idea and you are detailed and determined enough to do a great job.

Thanks, Cookie. I feel like I've done enough building work to know I wouldn't want to take on any bigger jobs than this. That said, I've also had the thought that I could by a 2-story extension given 2 weeks off work

The other thing with that is that I don't have the confidence to do it - it's only because I see my father-in-law do it once then I can go ahead and do it. I really struggle with over planning too so I can work myself up to a point where I want to give up very very quickly.
