Rocket suggested magnesium wheels next.

Ohlins Suspension and Brembo HPK Billet Calipers (y)

Careful with mag wheels Duke, a lot of second hand ones are cracked or will crack very easy in road use. There primarily for track use and don't like hitting pot holes (blush)

If I do buy some mag wheels I will put some Supercorsas on and use them for Trackdays only.

The rear shock is already an Ohlins and the front has been revalved and works as well as Ohlins IMHO. The Showa forks are very good once worked on.

A decent air box set up and bigger exhausts are the next logical step but that can wait til next year. Just want to enjoy it for now.

And from experience you can add a decent set of ear plugs to that shipping list (rock)

Bike looks superb mate (nod)

Now the water pump seal has been re[placed i am awaiting a tool to tighten the cylinder head bolts and also some sealant recommended to me.

Hopefully these things will make the difference.

Bike is now back together and running but by the time I had finished it was pissing down so couldn't take it for a road test.

Took it out for a half hour run. It didn't overheat and nor did it leak coolant or oil.

Needs a few more runs to see if the problem is fixed or not.

Nice one Duke.

Time to thrash it within an inch if it's life now :P

I know a nice test track only a short ferry trip away ;)

Glad it seems to be sorted, I'm really looking forward to seeing (and mainly hearing) it at some point

Topped up the fluids and took it for another blast tonight. Running temps good and bike ran really well. Hoping it's all fixed.

Booked the bike in for a base set up by Neil at Cornerspeed as he built an 853 almost identical to mine and even supplied some of the parts that are in my engine.

Saw the comment RE magnesium wheels... if it was my money I'd be looking at Forged Aluminium. Marginally heavier (10's of grams) but they're recommended over Mag wheels for road use

Speak to Rocket. He knows them at Cornerspeed , or at least used there services when he had a Ducati but pretty sure he knows the owner and kmow Rocket would be glad to help.

I have been to Cornerspeed before but it's a bit of a trek. That said if he can make the bike run better at tickover and low revs then I will be happy. It's not a major issue but I feel it could be better.
