Bike has been in for a re tune this week. Bit of dyno work and It's had a new eprom fitted and the belts changed.

Apparently running sweet as now. Can't wait to get it back tomorrow.

Nice one hope the ride home is full of smiles.
In fairness you have had pretty major work done to the bike and ironing out a few teething problems is to be expected.

The engine had been set up on a dyne on the previous bike it was fitted to but it had a different exhaust system so was to be expected it would not run quite right.

New eprom seems to have given me a load of torque back and made the bike smoother too. Also pops and bangs on the over run. Tick over is still a little slower than I would like but it does not stall when hot now. Bike cruises along at speed without any problem. Looked down at speedo at one point and couldn't believe the reading.

Tech who did the work reckoned it was one of the quickest nicest 916 bikes he had ridden. :D

Been out for an afternoon run and used up a tank of fuel. Fuel consumption now back to where it should be and the fuelling is spot on.

Its a lovely thing to ride and now has the power to make life more interesting on occasion.

Awesome, glad the bike is sorted. Really looking forward to seeing / hearing it sometime (hopefully soon)

With the extra grunt I recon you could have a real good laugh at the expense of some weekend warriors on much newer machinery (bandit)

120bhp apparently. Because i only asked for the bike to be fuelled properly and tickover correctly it didn't have the full dyno mapping as they have their own chips already prepared for various situations.

Holy crap that's impressive. The bike is pretty light and the handling is supposed to be spot on. That's a weapon.

I'm very very pleased with it. It's cost more than I realised but then these things always seem too. But it is exactly what I wanted. Very similar to the 748 but with more power but having lost none of the fun and still keeping that amazing stability through the corners.

I badly want to do a track day on it.

That's amazing Duke and more than a 916, plus you know the engine is refreshed and effectively like new.

Nice one buddy (y)

Ordered a few bits and pieces to try and tidy up the mirror holes, so hopefully they will arrive for this weekend.

Cheers Kwacky. One thing I have noticed with removing the mirrors is that it has reduced turbulence at speed quite considerably.

Riding it and tracking it.

It does need either a new steering damper or the standard one rebuilt.

Next winter I want to look at improving the breathing of the bike.
