Dropped the bike back on its wheels, torqued everything up to the correct settings and rode it down the road and back. Absolutely cannot effing wait for Spring.

Took it out for a first proper ride this morning. The engine is a gem. Similar to the 748 but pulls quicker and harder and spins up so fast. Only issue I have is that the bike is stalling too easily. Could be the tick over needs adjusting or there is a minor air leak in the air intakes somewhere.

I assume the fueling was altered to suit the 853 engine Duke.

Has it got a choke ? Or idle adjuster ?

Pop it back into JHP if it's being a pain. Your a good customer I m sure they would look after you.

I had already mentioned it to JHP and they said they would have it back and have a look. They did say they had set the fueling correctly but also said they can be notoriously difficult to set up just like a 748R. That said aside from that it runs perfectly with no issues at all.

There is no choke but there is a fast idle button but it happens when approaching junctions too.

Seems a piece of piss to adjust the idle screw, so might try that a half turn first. It does seem to have a low idle.

Though having now read this, is it such a good diea. It seems there is a trimmer screw for idle mixture. That said JHP did say they had set it for 4% CO.

I know I'm straying off the current theme in your thread Duke, but your photo showing the idle screw shouted something at me.:
With all the trick spec' your bike has been treated to, shouldn't you now change to a Lithium battery in place of the std Lead Acid.?

That isn't my bike.

Unfortunately lost a substantial contract at work a few weeks ago so for now any significant additional spending is on hold for the time being. It is however on the list for future investment.

Still having an issue with tick over and stalling. Last weekend I increased the tick over and it stalled even more. Took it out today just to refuel. Issue still there. Came home and parked on the drive and it ticked over fine. Decided to take it down the road to see if it had fixed it with new fuel. It still stalled at junctions. Came home and it ticks over ok on the drive. It's booked in for a TPS reset at JHP. Still confusing me a bit though why it's ok on the drive

Are you in neutral at junctions or just on the clutch? Just wondering if the clutch is dragging a bit.

I was thinking the same as kk, I sometimes get this with the rsv. It's almost like sometimes it forgets to idle, but I know my clutch fluid is well over due a change

100% Identical to the issue I had on the zx10r.

Would idle on the drive fine but cut out when trying to idle immediately after riding.

Was the TPS connection on my PCV. I would book it in with JHP and get the TPS reset and Im pretty sure that should fix it.
