Make sure you keep a record of when the bike is returned to you then Duke, so that you can prove it wasn't you doing 135 on the M5. (giggle)

I'm a bit surprised they can't do an online check for the MOT. Everyone else can.

They can do an online check but I assume it's their way of courteously asking permission

Quite pleasantly surprised at the reasonable cost. I have splashed out for a STM slipper clutch and had to have a new oil cooler and hoses as the standard bike does not have one. But in terms of fitting, set up and an oil and belts service, the cost is not much more than a service with Mike would have been. They also removed the alarm and associated wiring.

That means more money for bling.

Talking of Mike I see he's shutting his workshop. Said he's getting pissed off with people not paying him. He's got loads of bikes and stock worked on and ordered for people and he's not heard from them.

Budget is all spent for now. It badly needs some new tyres and i'm not sure what to go for at the moment.

I fancy trying something different. Maybe a Dunlop Sportsmart for a change.

Duke, do you want a tyre that can do both track and road in equal measure or are you happy for something which is 75% track / 25% road?

Something that bridges that gap would be the ContiRaceAttack Endurance compound. It's like an SC3 would be on a Pirelli (filling the void between SP and SC2). Pretty sure that's the tyre with the lap record at the Nurburgring too
