he does a lot of stuff for LC's and RD's and RS's too , he's even done 4 stroke pipes - basically if you're willing to spend the cash he'll make you whatever you need / want

My "mint, never seen rain" one is virtually identical.
Do you have the lower fairings.?
lol the pics don't do it justice i have been picking wallnuts/monkey nuts out of it with 5000 spiders and leaves . I think a squirrel was unhappy with having to see it for 10 years so was throwing his nuts at it.

Yes i have the lower fairings they are ok all there but scratched with PORN STAR stickers.

So when i was at reactive suspension getting the forks done on the zx10r i took along the rs250 forks and shock.

He looked them over and confirmed that they were in a bit of a state. He had a look through his suppliers and they did not have much info on either.

The Shock is pitted on the rod and they don't come apart very easily. He said that it is not designed to come into pieces and he has done one before and snapped the rod. It would cost £250 if everything went ok and thats nearly after market money.

The forks are also pitted and would need re-chroming then theres the internals there not great as this is an early bike so has preload and damping in separate forks. I rang Maxton why i was waiting to find there view on the aprilia forums it has been bantered about that they do a kit for these forks that turn them in to normal forks and its very good. £1100 (sweat) . After Gareth had finished my forks we had a chat and he said he would do a bit of digging and see what options are about but when i mentioned gutting them he also said it would be around the £1100 mark.
I have seen some people fit gsxr forks to the bike but not sure how they have done this or if its the later model aprilia as these came with a different setup at the front.

The shock is a no brainier i have looked on ebay and these 2 seem ok nut what is the difference between them ??

the 630 appears to be more adjustable it mentions pre-load , rebound and compression damping while the 530 appears to be pre-load only .

I mentioned to Gareth about wilbers or nitron and he said the wilbers was a better shock. He said he would sell them but the guy who sells to the traders was not the easiest to deal with.

Definitely worth the extra adjustment.

You have a GP chassis and carbon wheels no point scrimping on suspension. This will be a proper corner slayer (lol)

Today i have been playing with the ultrasonic cleaner. I'm impressed so far its cleaned a lot of the gunk off the parts I have tried the best being the barrels.

Here's a photo of the barrel and head before cleaning.
