Morning chaps...

Well, bad ninja !!!!

Went out to the mancave to get some more cleaning products and shiney juice on the beastie and to hook up the trickle charger.....

Horrified by the sight the Ninja has had an incontinence issue and decided to let go of her fork oils....I noticed a smear of oil on the fork towards the end of last season, I put it down to over liberal use of ACF50 and my OCD obsession of keeping the old girl gleaming. I changed the Brake lines for some snazzy HEL ones, my first thought was the wet spots on the floor were from maybe not nipping up the banjo bots etc....but to...follow the slick upwards and sure as hell both sides have sprung a leak ????

Where is the best place to get some good seals, OE Kwak ones look bloody dear, but if thats the prefered and best option then so be it. I dont wheelie ( intentionally ) so slamming down is not the issue for me, last owner maybe but not me. The forks are clean and pit free, no damage at all, just a bit confused as to why they would both let go. To be fair, I have not riden it since November, would leaving it cause them to give in ?

Cheers chap.

Morning

The bike is 12 years old and there's no telling how old the seals were before there were fitted.

If it were me I would go with OEM, I don't think they're that expensive. If you're going to do the job yourself you can get some good packages which include the fork oil and seals

Given the age of the bike I would send the forks off for a check and service. The oil needs replacing anyway. I can highly recommend Parkitt Racing https://parkittracing.co.uk/pages/suspension" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Hiya Kwaky....

Mike is going to do them for me mate, he just asked me to source the seals and he would get the job done. He's a good 'ol bean !!!

I know he's looked after you well, I trust Mikes work, he's looked after me for a while now.

He's going to strip and rebuild them, getting some fresh oil in there and make them good again.
