To be fair to it, I’ve abused it mightily for years, inevitably it had to fail at some point. I’ve got a 3/4” knuckle bar that’s bent about 20° out of true due to 3 metres of scaff tube on the end and two of us hanging off it, I’m guessing that’ll be the next on the shopping list. You can always be...

I rarely download anymore, generally use streaming sites and airplay to the TV from the iPad thru’ Apple TV. I’ve had to get a VPN again because the Aussie Govt I had passed laws to force ISP’s to block torrent and streaming sites. But the majority of stuff I watch is thru’ Netflix now and I can dow...

A cloned plate is when someone with the same vehicle as yours copies your number plate and put its on their own. Thats fooking illigal mate. Not for me that kinda thing. (whew) Kwacky comment wasn’t suggesting people should use them, just those of that bent are more likely now that ever. If you rea...

Tools. Firstly a set of E torx sockets, (not torx bits), we’ve started using them in critical areas and nothing else fits properly. Also got a 750mm 1/2 drive breaker/knuckle bar, my old one failed a week or so back, it’s not done bad though, i bought it as an apprentice in 1978, I have a feeling t...

Re: Monkey brain or leadership brain?
Hey KK....is there anything specific that turns the ON switch?? For myself, I have a metal box for the tools-of-the-trade.....the moment I see it, my gameface goes on (along with all the tools). It’s just the training. We drill minimum once a week offshore so just of practice. So when a situation c...

Re: Monkey brain or leadership brain?
When it comes to emergency situations, due to my training at work (rescue, fire fighting, BA etc) and stepping up to Fire Team leader, I have managed to control the monkey brain. It has come in handy a few times in my private life too when shite has gone pear shaped.

Worth going to 15 minutes in and watching how the new Ohlins suspension works and can be adjusted. It now gives you more of what you want to feel rather than restricting you to numbers on a dial for compression and rebound damping. Totally agree Duke, the event based suspension tuning is a leap for...

Re: Weekend plans
Long weekend here (not that it makes much difference to me ) due to Australia Day today, lots of hi-jinks and drinking were had (see what you are doing today thread)
Tomorrow is clean up and recovery.
Sunday is a run up the coast to see Jess’ parents for the day with all the kids.
