Re: S1000RR test ride
This must be a great bike seen a fair few of them here would be a lot of bike for the price and the extras eg heated grips is a great touch. Think more bikes should have this option espiecally in British weather! Great review enjoyed reading it thanks for sharing

What are you doing today ??
Having a lazy day. Had breakie, watched The Great Escape on the big screen then watched a entertaining documentary film called On Any Sunday in the cinema afterwards! It was about different types of motorbikes but ultimately no matter what type ...

Re: S1000RR test ride
... fear of liking it too much too worrying ;) I'll get a test ride when they are a bit quieter at JHP. I know Johnnymack at PB said the 1299 makes a great roadbike and much better than the 1199 in that respect. Its a while off before i will be making any decisions yet.

WSBK Assen
Assen always produces great racing.
Hats of to JR who has been extremely impressive all season but van den Mark is the most impressive imo.
First season in superbikes and he is right up the sharp end and really not affaid to go for a gap, a very exciting young racer.

Re: S1000RR test ride
If i'm really honest with myself i cant see me straying from my v-twins. As great as the S1000RR is, i just much prefer the way a v-twin feels under acceleration and the sound it makes. That said, if you wanted a bike that really does do it all ( bar a bit of ...

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
I don't know what you thought of the gearing on the test ride but its massively over geared IMO.
-1 on the front and +1 on the rear is a great mod but also not spoilt things by making it need cogs every 2 seconds either as the same mod does on some bikes.

... ...DON'T. Railsavers where still taking bookings... (facepalm) Just a heads up, and it's a shame that it's gone tits up, as it really was a great way to end a trip and cut out over 1,000 miles from Italy to holland. The worst thing is, many people look like they will lose their jobs.... ...

Re: New job
... full riding read out from your ride its amazing stuff for sure. And the new double R. I think to be fair when to XR comes out that will get a great deal of interest as it uses the same engine as my S1R. But I really need to understand the GS for now, as the best way to know about it is to ...

Anyone got one of these? Are they small enough to be stashed somewhere in the bike? They sound really useful but I don't have a great deal of storage space!

Great news Frankie really chuffed for you, got to be more fun than selling fans in boxes to idiots.
Must have been quite a difficult decision to leave an industry you've been in for a long time though.

The RC8 is like the gsxr 1000 a great bike but needs all the bells and whistles adding to make it sell against the competition
Nobodys going to pay 15 grand when you can get a zx10r with traction control and all that stuff for 13 or less

Re: New job
There was a new S1000RR at Prescott on Sunday in the BMW Motosport colours and it looks great in those.
The red and white bike however looks crap.

Re: New job
Amazing news Frankie, absolutely bowled over for you mate (y) Landing a job like that is like winning the lottery. Some great bikes and I would imagine BMW are a very good employer. Best of luck in the new role mate and most of all enjoy it, they obviously think very highly of you ...
