Re: Test rides

... you can fall out with someones Mrs without even meeting them lol. Have a ride on the Multi Deegee, its by no means a bad bike. In fact if someone were to give one to me I would be overjoyed. Re: lean angles?

... you're talking about Monty, I was told the same thing by my instructor at Ron Haslams, just the few sessions I did with him pushing me and my legs were quivering like jellies, my quads were shot for days after. However I retained some of what was drilled into me and was faster because of it. I ...

Re: Buying Tyres on t'interweb

... at is the date stamp as you don't want tyres that have been sitting round. Not a problem if you're buying a newly released tyre. Which qualifier were you trying to get? The Q3 is available in some countries but I couldn't find them when I looked! Fwiw I rate the Michelin pilot power 3! Pretty ...

Re: The whatcha doin this weekend thread

... to ride though in Sport mode the throttle is very On/Off. It can certainly be hustled down the lanes and is easy to throw about. My only gripes were the big fat tyre makes the bike want to sit up if you take pressure off the bars and the seating position doesn't really suit me. I like my back ...

Re: Test rides

Cracking write up God'.
You say about the Duke having more top end, but you were also impressed by the GS's bottom end grunt. Do I take it that the GS had more usable bottom end than the Duke.?

Re: Test rides

... under braking, which takes a bit of getting used to. The brakes don't seem to be doing much so I kept squeezing harder, then realised that they were slowing me rapidly and the back end was going light. The other thing was the feel of the engine when stationary, but this was expected and nothing ...

Re: lean angles?

I agree with a lot of what you said St Marks, but I guess there were other factors that came into play rather than just riding off the edge of the tyre. As said above on modern tyres its hard to run off the edge. I didnt and the belly pan was scraping. ...

Spending the day grinning after getting an offer from my first choice uni after an interview earlier this week. Things were looking a bit bleak as my safety net options were unsuccessful but first choice came through. I can only assume I must not have shown enough enthusiasm at the ...

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

I was on the M6 that morning but I saw the overhead sign saying J3-J2 was closed so I came off at the A446 turn off and went down the A45.

Some people were on there for a few hours.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

Last night the M40 was blocked due to a car on fire. I've never seen a car torch like that, the flames were about 10 feet high. Good job I was on the bike otherwise I would have been stuck for an hour or more. Did you get stuck in the M6 carnage on Tuesday Kwacky ? I had to ...
