Re: Marquez untouchable in qualifying

Its no longer news is it. The outcome is known before the event.

I still admire and like him but he is the first true alien the other so called 4 aliens were just good riders on good bikes in good teams.

Re: Brake Pads

I wasn't overly impressed with the SBS pads yesterday. Clearly they're geared up for the road.

On the track they heated up very quickly and did a great job of stopping the bike, but they're very wooden. There was very little feedback from them and they were a bit grabby.

Kwacky's Mallory Report

Just a quickie as I'm hanging. We left the circuit early. Perky and I were knackered and Perky's ongoing RC8 battery issues meant he had to get back to his works to pick up the new one. The bike is fecking excellent on the track. It does everything I need. ...

Re: Time for a new lid!

... was telling dealers not to discount. The RRP was £480 but I paid £380 through an official Shoei UK dealer (can't rememeber which one but they were some where Newcastle way I think) even then so you should be able to at least match that. I got the black and red one and the paint work and graphics ...

Re: Daytona 600 Stalling (still)

... starting can be an indicator that they need adjusting. My thoughts too. I doubt they've ever been checked in 21k Mine needed adjustment at 12k and were checked again at 24k and didn't need any. Up to 40k now so I probably won't bother again. If you're certain they've never been checked I'd say ...

Re: Time for a new lid!

I'm an Arai man (head shape is Arai, rather than Shoei), but I'd recommend those two.

Personally, I've got a Quantum ST and it's ace.

I've also got a HJC RPHA-10 (bought brand new when they were still expensive) and it's the worst lid I've ever ridden in.
