From what I remember it wouldn't allow below 30 mph and the police had to crash into it to stop it

... of it, on a normal bike that would have been my leg hitting the car and I might not have kept my right leg attached. I used to ride with a guy who had a similar accident but on his left, we call him 'Peg Leg' and his bikes have an electronic gear shifter fitted. (shocked)
