Re: Half Shell Helmets

... not freeze off. Surely you would end up wearing a balaclava / neckerchief so the shark looks in-between and offers some protection. Although I'm sure I've seen a review of one of those lids and said it was quite windy and fogged up guess it depends how much style you want over comfort or protection.

... him a good friend (but don't hold that against him.) I had a lot of time for D41 but he just got very hard to handle, and got really random. I'm sure you've seen another side to him St Marks. Dogbot, you're posting isn't similar at all imo, you have some consistency for a start! As for the cruiser ...

(nod) it feels nothing like I expected, or can describe. I did have to check the packaging to make sure it was an outdoor cover.

Re: The new improved fitness thread

I did :-
10 x 60kg warm up
10 x 100kg
7 x 130 kg
3 x 140 kg

My form started to go on 140 so I only did 3 reps. My shoulders dropped forward so my back became rounded.

That said I doubt I would have done more than 5.

Not sure what I could do max. 150 should be doable.

Re: Chain mileage

Not sure on what mileage I normally get with mine, I just tend to change them when the gear changes start to feel a bit clunky. i.e when you let the clutch out. The only one I didn't feel like I got much mileage out off was ...

I'm not sure if that's good news or bad, but at least it's the start of a new chapter.
Good news, been living in limbo for far too long.

There are some miserable old gits on that site, no wonder it's quiet. The moment someone asks a question you're sure to get a "have you tried the search option?" reply.

Re: Spain trackdays costs

I'm sure the trip with BBS to Jerez was round that sort of money.

If you can, make sure you go for an open pit day, it was well worth it. We had more rain than expected, so those without wets lost an hour or so of track time in the morning.

No need to wash it. Rain is on it's way. I'm sure that will be just as effective.

Fantastic. Well done him!

Your right to make sure he doesn't get a bit complacent now his offer is unconditional, however that's a real relief for you too on his future.

... I'm guessing you're looking at £300 for the 01s. I'll probably stick with the Z8s for now - they're doing a good job in the cold and wet and I'm sure they'll be fine in the summer. I can get the 01s next winter when hopefully they've come down in price. Do you know roughly what sort of mileage ...
