Re: Stonesie's Euro trip photo's
... After the now usual lunchtime hotel search and booking we found the IBIS in Thonon les bains, basic but clean and the restaurant next door was pretty good.

Next time you feel dissatisfied with your life, remember it's all a question of perspective...: I have a friend who reads 2 or 3 books a week, works out twice a day, has no financial worries, and is constantly surrounded by ...

Re: Work
I used to work for someone like that. She would give me my week's work on a Monday, then throughout the week constantly give me urgent top priority stuff.
Next week she couldn't' work out why I hadn't done the stuff she gave me last Monday.
You can't win with people like that.

Re: Cost of Energy Crisis
They reckon energy prices will fall by about 15 - 17% next month. I've no idea why it's taking them so long to announce it.

Re: Test rode a BMW F900XR/Stonesies next new bike
After 10 hours the battery tested at 33% so I think setting that as the limit should be okay, the fridge has a battery protection feature so won't flatten the battery so far that it causes damage. This is mostly for lunch stops and such, so it's overkill. I will be taking the mains power supply so o...

Re: Test rode a BMW F900XR/Stonesies next new bike
First fridge test after leaving it on it's battery for 10 hours and the smaller gauge wire which I found was not good, with the bike running it was getting hot so I pulled the fuse and stuck the multimeter in there to measure the Amps, 9A, now replaced with 20A rated wiring and all cool although I h...

Re: Test rode a BMW F900XR/Stonesies next new bike
I fitted the mounting plate for the cheap top box, not quite universal but I have a drill press so new mounting holes to get it on the GIVI rack were no issue, had round 2 with the angle grinder on the box and riveted the vent plates over the top so it looks better than gaping holes. I will finish t...

Re: Boris next?
They say Boris is intending to form a breakaway Party.
Ridiculous.
He doesn’t recognise a party, even when he’s in one.
It may explain his hasty resignation, just in time to remove the teeth from the Privileges Committee.

Re: Test rode a BMW F900XR/Stonesies next new bike
Got a refund from Jordans as they have had no response from Woolich, which is a shame as other bikes identical to mine have been mapped and seen 7-10 bhp gains, which would be nice. Now I have 3k miles on the Continental RA4s and the rear is just starting to flatten in the middle, front looks nearly...
