Re: What are you doing today ??

Good sales technique that. There's no reason not to be friendly and if you're going back it's easier to entice you should you want to change your style of bikes later on

Re: What are you doing today ??

... do something with that open space! Well that was a nice change for lunch. The Harley dealer is pretty top notch. They've got a decent selection of bikes to look at and a bit of kit to boot. The sales guys are really friendly and really like their bikes. Had a chat with a couple of them about the ...

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

I don't know what you thought of the gearing on the test ride but its massively over geared IMO.

-1 on the front and +1 on the rear is a great mod but also not spoilt things by making it need cogs every 2 seconds either as the same mod does on some bikes.

FAO Duke & Kingfixer

Thought this info could be useful. Limited to US bikes at moment but rumour is UK bikes will be recalled very soon also due the nature of the potential fault. More here. http://m.motorcycle-usa.com/577/24369/Motorcycle-Article/Ducati-Recalls-2010-2014-Multistrada-1200.aspx" ...

Autoslaap train no more..

... get the £900 back.... not holding our breath to be fair on this one, but fingers crossed. We will have to re-do and re-shedule our Holiday on the bikes as the train cut out 3 days ride, 2 nights hotel and food, so if anyone is this king of booking ...DON'T. Railsavers where still taking bookings... ...

Re: KTM to stop building road-going superbikes?

Kawasaki and triumph are the only people developing a 600 and ironically neither in road trim are an actual 600cc. Perhaps this gives us a clue to the future. More torquey middleweight sports bikes. I would love to see a supercharged 450/550 lightweight sports bikes with a gp inspired chassis.

Re: Tyres for a big bike

Forgot to say, the guy I hired from uses the Angel GT's on all his hire bikes. So that must say something for the confidence he has in their grip and wear. And by the look of his track bike he's no slouch.

Re: KTM to stop building road-going superbikes?

With 1000cc sports bikes being so powerful I suspect people will still want something sporty but no so mental. There is always going to be a market for the middle weight supersports bike. Kawasaki and Yamaha have been developing their ...

Re: KTM to stop building road-going superbikes?

I think sports bikes will continue D but become more of a niche market and be seen more as a premium high end product like sports cars are. The days of cheap sports bikes are long gone imo. They are high tech, exotic material, engineering ...

Re: KTM to stop building road-going superbikes?

It is about time new big sports bikes were released, and I hope it revives the market, but I think it unlikely. Certain manufacturers with more disposable money can create flagship sports bikes and not worry too much about not breaking even. ...

Re: KTM to stop building road-going superbikes?

I can see the logic as the RC8 has not been a bigger seller for them full stop and apparently sports bikes is a declining market. However saying that if were getting bikes like the new R1, S1000RR and Ducati 1299 long may it be in decline :?
