Re: Ducati 748 - Road to track/road

Still having an issue with tick over and stalling. Last weekend I increased the tick over and it stalled even more. Took it out today just to refuel. Issue still there. Came home and parked on the drive and it ticked over fine. Decided to take it down the road to see if it had fixed it with new fue...

Re: Kwacky's SDOC Bargains

Bump. Still got some of these left I'll buy some if you come and demonstrate how to use it, I've gone a bit D6 and still yet to give the Multi it's first proper wash (blush) Though it's only been out in the dry so far so it's mainly bugs and dusty rims. And I quickly rag wipe off most of the bugs a...

Re: Ducati Motogp 'hammerhead' fairing

IT would be interesting to know whether the exit of the airflow can be felt by the rider or can they route the airflow away? I haven't found any photos from the back/riders view, but I'm guessing while tucked/cornering it would be directed up over their shoulders. If we get some wet racing the mois...

Re: Ducati Motogp 'hammerhead' fairing

Basically just shrouded winglets. Aside from the extra weight aerodynamically they will work better (and hopefully comply with the new rules) as there will be no wing tip losses. (Same reason airliners have those big vertical tips on the wings) just looked online at some photos from other angles an...

Re: No point in making her sit a retest

That's why Bikers generally make better road users, we never stop wanting to learn. For the vast majority of car drivers it's just about getting from A to B. I feel there is a big difference in a biker and a bike rider. Some treat it like a car, and have no interest in further education or improvem...

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

Put the ZX10R up for sale on the Kawasaki forum I found it on. It still needs the fairings patched, but as I'm severely time poor when home, I've decided it's better in the long run to let it go cheaper and someone else can fix it.

Re: Bike helmet comms

yeah we do a similar method D41 but sometimes I forgot what side is slow and fast. D6Nutz, she's usually telling me to speed up! Last time I was doing 100-120 km on a windy 60-80 km signposted road and she was complaining I wasn't going fast enough. I was keen to go harder too, but my wallet wasn't!...

because sometimes I get the slow down/speed up indications from my pillon mixed up and it can be troublesome :D Plus I need a BT headset of some kind for the GPS I got.
