Re: 2017 Kawasaki Z1000SX

... just don't see a lot of those types of bike in CA. I remember the local Triumph dealer telling me that they struggled to sell three Sprints in one year, but were obliged to 'carry' them. Nearly everything here is either a cruiser, or a sportbike...there's not much middle ground.

Re: Kwacky's biking plans

The zx6r has a slipper as standard, the SX doesn't (although I think the 2017 one does)

I sent a couple of emails off yesterday making initial enquiries. One company said they would get back to me, the other hasn't responded.

Guess they're rushed off their feet at this time of year...........

Re: Kwacky's biking plans

I don't do logic.

It's a nice bike and I'm tempted but I'm in no rush. Sales are slow this time of year and will be for a 2 or 3 months so I can wait to see what else comes up.

But all through my teenage years I did lots of cycling, and the year prior to joining the Air Force I wa doing 300-400 km a week. Then the first week of recruit course we had ...

I suppose I was looking a year or 2 ago now but still, the bike is unchanged besides paintwork..

My local dealer had them in for £7990 on 0%. Only in white though which was the downside

Kawasaki Direct will be doing some deals later this year, currently it's £8799 on 0% for the KRT. I've not see one advertised for less that 8.5k and I've looked, a lot!

Re: Kwacky's biking plans

Cheapest I've seen the KRT brand new on the road is £8,700.

There are used 2016 zx6rs going for more than £8k.

But I'm in no rush so I'm happy to wait to see if there are further deals in the new year.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

Sun reflection is a pain at this time of year, even with a sun visor on. It can be very distracting. Your levels of concentration have to be 100% because you've got very little time to react to something if its on the road.

Hmmmmm....given the time of year I guess it's no surprise....the hilarious Ben Affleck comedy film "Pearl Harbor" is on the TV at the moment.

It's a yawn-fest of truly epic proportions, which is a good thing, as I think I'm ready for my post 2nd breakfast nap.

Zzzzzzzzzz..................
