Re: Wheel Alignment Jig

Nice job. I made one up once from two pieces similar to that but never did get the threaded bar to fit inbetween.

Now all my bikes are single side swingarms so need for them. :)

... do you want me to introduce you to Klima-Therm? You'd fit in really well there and the Sales Director has a race team truck (and a few race bikes)

We can thank the new WSBK rules for part of that. It's good for consumers I think for sure.

Re: New Ducati 955

My next bike could well be a Ducati as always fancied and been a long time fan of Ducati sportsbikes and could well fancy a 899, 955 or 1299. However there is one fly in that ointment, Yamaha R1 :P Cross plane crank, forged wheels, ohlins semi active, 6 axis all singing ...

Re: The Glorious British Summer

Even a little rain couldnt spoil the evening in fact it helped make it a little more fun as there was loads of bikes out and I felt like a hero overtaking everyone in the twisties in the wet. It was wet but mainly only on your visor as the temperature was so ...

... so I traded the 'Blade (which had a tendency to wheel stand under acceleration with our combined weight), on a Sprint RS. We even test rode other bikes together before I bought the Sprint, including the BMW R1100s... which gave her a 'wetty' so I almost bought it on the spot!! After touring NZ ...

Re: Biking other halves

Mrs nutz has no interest in bikes as a rule. That said, she came out on the back of the xjr a couple of times. As soon as I turned up with the RSV she said "you know there is no way I'm getting on the back of that don't you", ...

Re: Biking other halves

Er indoors has no interest in bikes at all, she will never get on the back of the multi. But then she has just decided to come with me to moto gp as she has bought club class tickets. (facepalm) bring on all the questions, "who's winning then" , "which ones are British" etc etc.

1000 mile trip on the sx with Perkles to get breakfast from Lucy's.

Had another play with the zx10r. The people at the traffic lights looked a bit surprised when we decided to stop bikes as the lights' were on red.

Re: Off roading in France

The biggest thing I learnt is that bikes are far more stable than we think and sometimes fighting movement is more likely to make you crash. The bike moving around on road doesn't phase me quite as much as it used to now.

... if it can take a bashing off-road as it might be my only bike then. exactly along the same lines as I was thinking. I have looked occasionally and bikes do quite often come up with the two sets of wheels setup but of varying brands.

The big Jap companies seem to have good rep for these type of bikes. I'm sure you'll be fine with a big brand name.

Re: Track days are finished

You don't want them too light. We were told the light bikes squirm around too much.

Those 250s were spot on, in my very limited experience.
