Re: Black Friday

Agreed - Just shows me how overpriced most items are these days when they can discount some things so much.

Unless i'm already looking for the item i dont buy in sales anyway. If i didn't need it before i don't need it in a sale frankly.

Is there a time there isn't an 'sales event' now?

Re: NEC

I hope this is a trend of brilliant lightweight sportsbikes with useable power.

Not that i would spend £19k on a Norton...

I had a few of those. For me it usually meant what money did i want and would they secure my services if they offered.

I hope it goes well :)

Re: Tankslap Euro 2019

Cookie, what's your range from home? That'll probably be the limiting factor where we can go. 50 miles :D As I've said previous years, don't let that stop the choices. I rode to the French border this year without too much problem, if i have to stay overnight to get to you guys i will. It depends h...

Re: Pecco Bagnaia

I watched some of the testing on Tuesday and Wednesday. Morbidelli was really fast on the factory test Yamaha too.

I was impressed with Mir too. Some good rookies next year!

Re: What are you doing today ??

Mourning.

The old figurehead of our household, Mrs Cookiemonster's granny and the kids Great Granny has died suddenly aged 99 3/4.

I'll miss the old bugger, she was quite a lady. A few tears and sadness today, all part of life.

Re: What are you doing today ??

Not going anywhere today. Massive fuel protests in France. Lots of roads blocked too.

Good on the frenchies - if they are not happy they take action rather than doing nothing.

Re: What are you doing today ??

From my experience, the chance to move up the ladder only really comes once, so it boils down to: Are you career minded enough to give up some of the life you’ve got now? Or, is your work/life/money balance satisfying as is? Fwiw, on 360 days of the year I’m in the latter camp. Good luck with your ...
