... been revalved and works as well as Ohlins IMHO. The Showa forks are very good once worked on. A decent air box set up and bigger exhausts are the next logical step but that can wait til next year. Just want to enjoy it for now.

Riding it and tracking it.

It does need either a new steering damper or the standard one rebuilt.

Next winter I want to look at improving the breathing of the bike.

... and the government persuaded us in to diesels in the first place. Surely any charge cannot effect previous purchases before they rolled out the next set of stealth tax.

I suppose it depends on what do you have to replace on a bike in its first 2 years, compared to what you have to replace in the next 2. Obviously mileage is a factor, but your bike is still relatively young. My opinion would be to hang onto it, but I'm a tight arse and don't like spending ...

Granted it's a 2006 model but it's only got 1200 miles on the clock and it's covered with loads of accessories. Those Arrow race systems aren't cheap. Plus it's a 1050 and D6Nutz might find it easier to go from a 1 litre twin to a 1 litre triple than down to a 675cc triple. I like both of them and I...

Apart from being double the age only 750 quid cheaper! Plus not having a custom paint job and lots of carbon bits.
