Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

For me I find the MRR to have more of an initial bite. The next pad down is progressive, which is probably why I didn't get on with them. I prefer a grab and slow release way to braking

Re: Spring is on its way...

I don't have to stay off the bike in winter because the weather is pretty mild here, I just have enforced breaks because it takes me much longer to fix them than it does to crash them :?

Re: Spring is on its way...

Yeah I miss riding. My leathers are perforated and my textiles are shit though. I don't mind riding if the weather's a bit iffy but I do seem to do it less and less. Plus I HATE cleaning of any kind. My bike still has its noise pass test stickers on from Oulton Park months ago and I sold it cheap so...

Re: Spring is on its way...

What I find is that even off the road for a week or so for what ever reason, I can tell the difference. For those who don't ride for months, it must make you feel very rusty coming back to it. As for the mornings, I was walking my dogs on Cannock Chase at 6am this morning, and I could actually see ...

Re: Spring is on its way...

Today was really nice and it made me want to ride again

Re: Spring is on its way...

I haven't really missed it since I moved in October. The weather has just killed the desire for me. I will be rusty when I get back on it, but last week's bimble from the mother in law's showed me that I wasn't too wobbly. It's just going to be a matter of getting back into it gradually, and not jus...

Spring is on its way...

As of this morning at 0455. I took the dog out for a walk and I realised that the sky was a dark blue and I saw the stars out, my touch wasn't so bright because it was lighter than normal and I noticed that I wasn't all that cold! I put my bike in for a major service including new plugs and valve cl...

... wars in the space of 40 years both of which escalated to World Wars and killed millions of lives. I think even Winston Churchill mooted it as a way to prevent it happening again and to allow Europe's people to live in peace.

Re: In, out or shake it all about?

I keep hearing we give the EU £55 million a day which is shocking with the the way our schools, hospitals and indeed all public services are currently under funded and under resourced. Can some one please explain what value we get back for this huge sum of money. ...

Re: Advice for buying a bike privately

Think everyone have given good points here mate. Definitely get someone with you and ask for ID if they don't accept the very basics then walk away. Private can be a great way of buying but it also has its downsides just have your whits about you mate.
