... at the bottom of its arc as the distance from the rear axle hub to the gearbox sprocket is almost the same in both cases. The 916 range of bikes also has a separate ride height adjuster as well that works on the shock length.

Re: PipeWerx
Yes I thought that was how it works Duke and if I have understood correctly the bikes handling characteristics (ride height) are therefore influenced by how worn and therefore what position the chain is.

Re: Perks zx10r review
When I took the bikes out for a test ride two of them had ABS and I couldn't get it to kick in. On that basis I decided it was expensive and a pain in the arse so went for a model without it. Tbh it is expensive at a £1000 and I ...

Will be good to see the bike Frankie as not laid eyes on it yet and I know there an impressive machine.
In fact quite a few of us will be on new bikes, perhaps its should be called the new bike rideout

Re: I am a little worried
It's always happened since bikes were invented. We have moved on in machine and exhaust design, recall the 400 cc craze, they would sing to heaven but speed ??? Maybe our views change as we get older but I love the sound of a multi on the stops howling in the distance any time of day !

Ordered another chain, lock and ground anchor set.
I'm really paranoid now I've got two bikes again. Better to spend a dollop of cash now on security than paying for increased premiums following a theft.

Re: Trackdays
having done at a guess about the first 8-9 of my first trackdays on my road bikes the time came where I thought I had got to a sufficient level to get a track bike. That and the thought that if I binned it I would damage approx 4k's worth of bike and not 15k's ...

Re: Bargain 1199s
It's good that their are so many choices and different ways of enjoying bikes. Cookie used the word 'involving' and that's exactly what riding the 748 is as it only makes 90 bhp. Equally it's nice sometimes to experience silly amounts of power. It just needs ...

... view these days. I've done my time on a very powerful bike and frankly it's less involving and enjoyable than being able to use most of a 'lesser' bikes abilities. Fun to open the throttle from time to time yes, but overall your guarding the throttle too much of the time. I can understand wanting ...

Re: Bargain 1199s
Foggy says you don't need more than 100bhp on a bike unless you're a racer. It's a bit arrogant of him but I see his point.
I'm a big fan of lower powered bikes. 200bhp is a ridiculous amount of power for 2 wheels.
But if someone wants a bike with that power then go for it.

Re: Bargain 1199s
What tech is on the 1299 over and above the 899 spec Duke ?
Are there any rumours of an 899s / 899r as there were with the 748/749 bikes ?
Or perhaps like the 848 an se or evo version ?
