Re: Find D6Nutz a new bike

True, the top of the range GS and Tiger are the best part of a grand apart in prices after you take fitting charges etc into consideration, but we aren’t talking brand spanky, or are we?

Brand new the GS beats the Tiger by 5-10%, second hand the Tiger beats the GS by 20%.

Re: Find D6Nutz a new bike

I’d put in an honorary mention for the 1200 Tiger/Explorer, a mile eater with no chain to worry about, but described as having more character the GS in most reviews. I reckon £7.5k cash would get this with the luggage included. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201906229280255?make=TRIU...

How did you patch it in the end? I seem to recall you saying it was an elongated hole, which, let’s be honest is a complete pig to patch even temporarily and make it hold pressure.

Well done Cav, it’s been tough road for you with life throwing some real nasties at you along the way, I’m guessing you’re going to be chilling with a nice bottle of something over the weekend. Congrats from all here! (party) (clap) (beer)

Re: Talking of political correctness

The guy had a point, you can’t have one price or price list for blokes and another for women, were it the other way round it’d likely have resulted in a public prosecution not a private one. That said, it’s gotten both Brewdog and the Equality gap issue a lot of column inches and clicks at the cost ...

Cracking write up Cookie, I felt for you with the tyre woes, I’ve had one tyre (one only) go down to the canvas and tbh it felt ok, yours could have been a disaster! (whew)

Fingers crossed for some hot French lady biker pics from someone..... (blush)

Re: RZ500..... kind of

I like the look and idea of it, but 1, if you have to kill the original to make this it’s a sin, 2, an old engine producing 85bhp/63kw in a new chassis that weighs 180 kilos is going to feel slow by today’s standards, so it just doesn’t work for me and I’m a stroker fan.

Similar story here, spankey new 675, new shiny SuperCorsas and a tropical downpour in April c/w aquaplaning cars and coaches. Let’s just say it was a challenge.

Re: What do you want to vent about today?

No, fortunately Wednesday’s epic was just a regular day, but I was filling in for a colleague that lives in London, I’m back there tomorrow and yes that is just down to ignorance/stupidity on the part of the Operator and tbh I’m surprised they haven’t had a massive failure because of it, blind luck ...

If only Blade, unfortunately like a snail I carry my work home (and kit) around with me, so it’s not an option, would be nice, but sadly not so.
