Re: What are you doing today ??

Went for a walk in the country, almost exactly 6 miles on my phone, 5.6 on my mates, both using the Strava app to track the walk, curious how the 2 phones tracked different distances. Met a couple of horses and saw a Red Kite from about 10 feet, they're pretty big that close. Then started planning t...

Re: What are you doing today ??

Shopping for new bike boots, ended up with some Forma adventure boots after having them recommended to me by 5 people. First impression is that they're very comfortable. I can't wait to try them out on the bike. https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/354697 Also got annoyed w...

Gave it a wash and fitted a taller tank bag ring with some spacers.

Might ride tomorrow, might not.

Re: What ails you today?

I'm back to work tonight after a few days off with a flu type bug, running a fever, shivering and having sea legs was not fun for a day or 2, it did give me some time to revise my CV though.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

Today I took it out for a ride and mostly stuck to back roads, 150 miles around back lanes getting as far as Seaways at Fridaythorpe for a coffee stop. There was water everywhere as the entire area is saturated, we could do with some dry weather.

Having a quiet day, eating turkey sandwiches and trying to be happy about going to work later, should be a quiet night at least.

Re: Work

I'm casually browsing other opportunity's, since August I have been trying to get off nights but management seem to like me where I am. Then one of the night managers had a go at one of my colleagues who said he was tired after 9 hours... A direct quote "It's not my place to say BUT if you are ...

Re: Hydrogen kwak

Since most hydrogen comes from Methane it's still a fossil fuel, blue hydrogen is cheap and is steam reformed methane. As it sounds, they strip the carbon from the methane (CH4) with steam, and the carbon is then released with that steam. Really not a clean fuel is it... Although they are working on...

Re: NEW Bike day-ish, GS Round 2

Dealer called, service booked and faults logged for investigation, and the offer of a loan bike so I don't have to wait around, that's the opposite experience to when I had that KTM.
They didn't want to know about problems. Maybe it was a rogue dealership.

Re: NEW Bike day-ish, GS Round 2

Nah it's a different warning for over filled, it's oil level is spot-on so it's just a sensor... Just a grumble, not a serious issue. Overall I'm over the moon with this bike and even my grumpy friend Gaz says that I look so comfortable on it he's seriously considering one. It was nice in East Yorks...

Re: NEW Bike day-ish, GS Round 2

I went for a ride to the coast and back today to deliver some Christmas presents so naturally I took the bike, it was sunny with the temperature in double digits so Gaz came along for the ride, he did say the rear indicators are MUCH better. The bike did give me a grumble, the SOS system was throwin...

Re: NEW Bike day-ish, GS Round 2

Minor update, 160 miles in and I had a tinker session, Weiser Wizard modules fitted to the rear to improve the rear indicators, Top box plate fitted and the headlight guard with it's amber DRL filter. I'm still undecided weather or not to fit the front Wizard modules which would turn off the front i...
