The big problem isn’t really the deaths etc. But the business continuity for everyone. If it does get to pandemic levels, and big percentages of population are infected (and it is very contagious), then a lot of staff will be absent from NHS, Fire, Police etc, not to mention other critical functions...

It is long, but I’m a massive fan of this genre, and whilst it’s no Godfather / Goodfellas, it was enjoyable. De Niro and Pesci are excellent in it, Pacino is a bit cheesy however.

If it had been condensed by 30-40 minutes, it would be a great movie.

Usually what happens is that victim will give statement at time of offence as they are pissed off/angry, and/or there is other evidence available to support offence having been committed. Once case gets to court, usually after a number of months, often the case victim and accused are living together...

That’s exactly what I said to the Mrs. All cases where there’s enough evidence must go through the judicial process, otherwise we’d be as well closing the courts.

Thankfully no experience of CPS. In this day and age to try and insinuate that a suspect (of either sex) shouldn’t be prosecuted because the victim wants to ‘drop’ charges, is prehistoric.
