Re: Star Wars IX - Rise of the Skywalker

You know....I knew that the Luke Skywalker character was originally called Luke Starkiller, but I'd thought that it was changed in pre-production....apparently it was done during early filming.

Re: High speed trains at a rail station in China

As someone points out on the FB post, whilst America spends its money to fight wars it cannot win and builds walls to keep people out, China is investing in its infrastructure to be the most profitable Country. So is it safe to say that you would rather live in China than the US?? I'm only curious.

Well...I don't know - and all you're going to get is best guestimates from those that are supposed to know. I'd think that those predictions are all mostly based upon technology as it exists today....rather than how we will progress in an as-yet undetermined future.

Re: What you watching?

Watching snippets of a Star Wars press conference & JJ Abrams discussing how they manipulated unused footage of Carrie Fisher into Episode IX. Rewrote/introduced a few scenes around her character, and how it's ultimately a lot easier to do it that way rather than messing with CGI, using a double...

I wouldn't put that out of the realm of possibility, but I also wouldn't think that issuing those bonds hinged around Assange....more like "We're doing you guys a big favour....how's about throwing something our way in return??"

Re: Attenborough's warning on climate change

"The power of population is superior to the power of the Earth to sustain it".....or something like that. - That's a rough quote from around two hundred years ago, so it's not like we weren't given a heads-up. Around 10 billion people is what experts reckon the planet can sustain before we...
