Kwacky - would you say the relative light weight of your Versys is a great asset when commuting?

Re: Euro track days

Im with Cav with the D212's they are a great tyre, though they do use quite low pressures . I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Re: Chain Cleaning

Paraffin for me too. Never had a problem. It's about £7 for a 4 litre bottle in b&q last ten I got some and lasts for ever. Great for getting oil splatter off wheels too (y) The saving is there to be taken. I usually use muc off but its bloody expensive! Get a load of it and a spray ...

Re: What are you doing today ??

... and showed plenty of fortitude. I’d be just as proud if she’s hobbled in last. As for a Byron, he’ll never be a sports star but he too put in a great effort and although he rolled in last at most things he kept his head up and spirits high and did his best. No small feat for him and the first ...

Re: Journey to Biking

Kudos to you for pushing on after a crap intro to riding. Glad you have though, as you’ll find it’s a great past time and will make you infinity more attractive to the lasses (lol) Really don’t understand instructors that behave that way, came across a few in the scuba diving ...

Re: Journey to Biking

Hello That doesn't sound like a great introduction to biking. Still, it could be worse, you could miss your test because you're spat off your bike and you crash into a tree, breaking your collarbone. Still, it wasn't as if your wife to be ...

Re: KTM 1090 Adventure - a brief review

I have to say i've never been a big fan of the looks of the thing tbh.

Your Versys looks better as well as being much better value and a great bike for the roles you use it for tbh.

Now the 790 Adventure will be worth testing... :)

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

Both days been 31 degrees. Unsure how kiwi and the other Oz lads do it in that temp! However great for tyres! Shows how subjective weather is, high 20’s low 30’s is perfect riding weather imho!! Yet Jess and I did a 525km loop on Saturday and the temps were a high of ...

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

... What a day, i am loving this weather. On the way to Loomies though, we believe we had an undercover copper follow us. White lid, up right bike, great gear, riding style was very good but constantly kept an eye on us, also felt lile he was watching me due to his rosd positioning all the time ...

KTM 1090 Adventure - a brief review

... did stand out was winding it on during roll on tests. That extra torque showed its self and the bike soon picked up speed. The tall seat meant a great view when I was whizzing through the traffic and the narrow tank and decent power meant filtering was a doddle. I got off the main roads and found ...
