Re: Just one bike

I've used 3 of the demo bikes at KTM as well as had the DMC mechanics bike for a few days and all of them seemed to be in great nick. I know the mech at DMC uses his all year round.

I don't need a bike that's going to fall apart after a few weeks.

Re: Just one bike

Well you know what I am going to say as far as BMW's go. The S1000R is a great all rounder imo. Plenty quick enough, plenty comfy enough...and with the right baggage would travel. So it's great for work rest and play. The next on the list if you want adventure ...

Wet weather KIt

Well it would seem my waterproof kit no longer is ;(

I've been using Bering kit for a good 15 years now and it's been great. Warm, dry and uncumbersome. I do however appreciate that technology and materials have changed so was wondering what you folks are using and would and wouldn't recommend?

Re: Tankbags

Got the GIVI tank lock bag. 3L version I think. Could be 5. Great bag. But comes with rain cover. Had for about 3 years and is main day pack. Very recommended.

They come in different sizes too

Re: Triumph tiger 800 ?

... 800 XC from new when they first came out, the bike was awesome, only got rid as I needed funds at the time, otherwise I would still have it. Re: Triumph tiger 800 ?

Frankie or R1ckster are the people to talk to. I've ridden a couple of the recent Tiger 800s and loved them. Great handling and nice little engine. I almost bought one a few years back but the build quality wasn't the greatest - the demo model hadn't been looked after and so ...
