I moved to the Peaks 5 years ago and if someone told me it was 2 years I'd believe them. Not sleeping properly for 3 of them didn't help!

Where has the time gone?

Just realised, 2 years ago today I came back from holiday got home and within 2 hours I was admitted to Hospital where I spent the next 5 - 6 weeks.

Must be a sign of age. It seems nowhere near as long as that.... ;(

Isnt the lap record round cadwell in BSB still Haslam on a 999 from about 15 years ago? I know it stood for an unbelievably long time, obviously was closer to WSBK back then with electrickery but still shows how good that bike was/is! edit Just looked it up, Haslam ...

Seems like i may have a more serious issue with mine too. Water appears to be getting into the oil.

Other than that it was a really good day and enjoyed my first day on track for some years.

... why should they be given a rise above inflation. Many people on here are probably like my wife and I who have not had any pay rise for a number of years. They do an amazing job and in no way am I being negative towards them or what they do.

... done that, they are as you say overpriced nowadays and the line ups are just poor. Only Festival that has caught both me and the Mrs eye recent years is Rambling Man, its full of old school rock and blues musicians but even that is silly money when you start thinkin about it.

Thanks for the good wishes guys, I appreciate it although for me it is not a day I relish or celebrate anymore as it was my birthday 19 years ago that my mother died at the age of 61.
