Re: Tyres for a big bike
Forgot to say, the guy I hired from uses the Angel GT's on all his hire bikes. So that must say something for the confidence he has in their grip and wear. And by the look of his track bike he's no slouch.

Re: Tyres for a big bike
I would try the Michelin PR4s, Pirelli Angel GTs or the Metzeler Z8s. All good tyres for all weathers. I would say the Angels are the sportiest, the PR4s best for wet and cold and also longest lasting and the Metzelers somewhere between the two.

Forgot to say my can with baffle in is definitely no louder than stock OEM one.
Not tried with baffle out apart from on drive at idle and even then not loud.
I don't like loud cans either tbh.

Cheers Eddie, The HP4 in the showroom is nice, however I must ask if you have taken the new model out, if you have not I would say you should give it a try. Let me know if you fancy a little spin out on it :) The bike is a total transformation and that's saying something. Either way I ...

... dry they are similar. However in the wet some tyres offer significantly more confidence, and to me this is more important. The only thing I would say is that when I was given some Pirelli supercorsa SP thingies to try out, in the dry on a corner it felt like they were glued to the tarmac. Really ...

How good was that. Well done Sam Lowes
2 from 2 dare I say 3 from 3 is possible. Crutchlow was quick in warm up this morning and he has the updated frame this weekend.

... to scrub the tyres in. First impressions the initial turn in is very good they make turning into a corner very easy with a steady drop in I would say the same if not a little more aggressive than supercorsa's. When on the side of the tyre they offer plenty of grip and the bike was planted. I did ...
