Re: Bargains

... it was manufactured, you may end up with a 3 year old bike if they have used the original R's and converted them to GT. They may of course be new bikes from factory but there must be a catch if they are that price surely? The 390s are certainly 2017 models. The internet gossip is that there are ...

Re: the other half - wives, partners and girlfriends

So long as I can pay the bills I can have as many bikes as and when I like. Sadly I've got very limited space so it's only two. My wife doesn't mind what I buy for the bikes or how often I change them. I do tend to bring a demo bike home to show her ...

wives, partners and girlfriends

... in with a load of stuff that she's picked up off radio 4 about gender. I vaguely recall hearing a bit of it when i was fiddling about with my bikes in the garage. Anyway the gist is, if i have understood properly, is that society bends little kids into roles with blue and pink whereas presumably ...

Re: Police Motorcyclist Killed in RTA

... can be killed in this way? of course I won't give up but nevertheless it puts the wind up, unfortunately it's not just me, our boy has a couple of bikes too, no doubt influenced by his twatty dad who can't seem to grow up and ride in a car like everybody else. the only thing that occurs to me is ...

Left the bikes at home today. We're supposed to get the tail end of a storm sweep through with wind gusts up to 90mph. I'm a cager for the day.

Re: Bargains

... same to customers who had bought the RC8 at full price when it came out. The RC8 didn't sell well when it launched so they were still selling 2008 bikes at massive discounts in 2010. KTM had warehouses full of them. At one stage they were knocking out new ones for £8500, I think some people paid ...

Re: Brexit Round 2

... the state and live hand to mouth. I was lucky I had saved a bit of money when I had a little sabbatical and then worked for peanuts selling motorbikes (facepalm) however what I did have went super fast with very little coming in. And that was not to buy toys, or have flash cars and bikes and ...

Re: Triumph Birmingham

Heard about this at work. It's really light in the midlands for Triumph dealers which is bizarre being near the home of Triumph.

I still use Staffordshire Triumph (BS Bikes) in Stoke. but that is a bit of a jaunt just for small things.

Re: getting that fix

I don't mind riding in the winter, but switching to a naked bike this year after only ever riding fully faired sports bikes I'm not fancying it so much... I'm done with commuting on the bike so would only go out on a relatively dry day. Funny you talk about claustrophobia when not ...

Re: Honda RVF1000R 2019

Personally, and speaking as a long term Honda Fan........ I think they are falling a bit behind on the excitement front....... similar to Suzuki............ but Yamaha and Kawasaki are wading in with lots of new and exciting new Bikes......... the way to go in my opinion.

Re: Honda RVF1000R 2019

Honda's future directions are very heavily influenced by Honda North America which is why they build such shit bikes these days. Well, they go where the money is, you can't blame them for that....a lot of Japanese companies specifically aim themselves at the North American market.....it's ...
