Re: What are you doing today ??

Sounds good Rossgo, certainly something a bit different.

Where are you staying in the Isle of Man?

Watch your bikes in Liverpool, there have been a few thefts from hotels this year.

Re: What are you doing today ??

... my 'stag do' for the past month. Friday was the day I bought tickets and planned the first part out. First part is to pop by (flying visit on bikes) to see the Senior TT race on the IOM. Have booked up to stay at a Glamping site for 5 nights with 2 of my very closest friends. Never been Glamping ...

Re: A fling with an Africa Twin Adventure Sports

Cracking write up Kwacky.
The colour scheme (despite echoing classic Honda) somehow seems to make me think BMW.???

Honda AT's have always been good solid bikes IMHO, nice to see they still retain that feel.

Re: A fling with an Africa Twin Adventure Sports

One of the few bikes that would entice me into buying Honda. :?

Re: A fling with an Africa Twin Adventure Sports

... Honda build quality. I'm told by an ex Honda motorcycles employee that Honda design and planning is driven by Honda America which is why sportsbikes are low on the agenda and the likes of this are high. No doubt that accounts for the DCT box too. My previous Multi was taller than my DVT version ...

Re: Diesel spill claim settlement

Good result. I don't think these companies realise how dangerous this can be to bikes.
Where I work I have to ride past a bus depot, and a truck stop. Some days the diesel on the road is unbelievable.

Re: Chinese Levers

Parts made in China is one thing....bikes made in China is something else. They're still a generation behind in manufacturing/quality-control terms. It's still a "Newly Industrialized Country" ('Developing' as opposed to 'Developed') ...

Re: Chinese Levers

... 2014. That needs to be taken into account. FWIW Chinese produced copies have increased in quality. Don't forget that a lot of us are riding motorbikes with a lot of parts made in China. We use cars with Chinese parts and fly in planes with Chinese metal parts. I've recently had metal fail from ...

We're going to have to disagree on that.

Still one of the most stunning bikes going in my eyes

Re: Lorenzo having second thoughts?

Wouldn't it be great for there to be an open season where the top riders can try all bikes and join the team with the bike that suits them best... think how fast these lap records could actually be.

I would love to see MM on a Duke!

Re: Chinese Levers

I'd never buy ASV. For the price I was annoyed after the black turned to dark purple. My bikes live outside But I may aswell have bought 10 pairs of Chinese levers and change them when they fade. I've had Chinese levers before and n3vwr had issue.

Re: Africa Twin DCT

A vehicle that gets lots of use especially travelling from A to B either for work or similar then an auto box makes so much more sense and ism so much easier to use.

I await the day when road bikes have a seamless box. But I suspect we will see the death of the ICE before then.

Africa Twin DCT

... I have ever owned). And thought I would give the DCT model ago. I mean I really went there in the mind set of slating it. Having ridden sports bikes most my life and enjoyed track days, and doing off road on the 800XC (and I don't mean fire trails or gavel paths). I ENJOY CLUTCH... (giggle) ...

Re: Chinese Levers

I've used these on a couple of bikes now and never noticed any fading or had any other issues.
Made in Germany and TUV approved. So not as cheap as Chinesium specials.

Re: Mr Postman

Not the post but picked up a bottle of Paraffin for chain cleaning and also some cheap blue towel (tissue) for when i work on bikes, always comes in handy both from B&Q. So cheap for paraffin, less than £7.50 for 5 litres. I do need to clean my chain as haven't cleaned it for the ...
