Re: what's your favourite type of cafe?

... on it. There is always a different classic bike in the shop each visit as all the local bike enthusiasts keep asking if they can display their bikes there after he started with his own thruxton in the shop. Coffee and food is top notch. As a bonus, Jess is quite smitten by the owner which always ...

Re: SHEDS

Shed (Noun) Where bikes, beer, tools of all sorts and garden chairs are kept, they should smell of a mixture of dried grass, oil and creosote. They are traditionally where menfolk take refuge at times of domestic stress. (Hence the beer)

Re: SHEDS

... at doing up the garden in the new house and buying a shed. I want to get rid of the items that are in my garage, so I can kit it out nicely for my bikes and as a workshop.

Re: 44 Teeth review the new Tiger 1200

Triumph do make great handling bikes.

It'll be interesting to see how it fares next to the Superduke GT and the Multistrada.

Re: Whoops. I did it again...

... we played hockey out in the play ground! Defo remember those days. Playing footy until the sun went down. Playing IT (or TAG) in the evenings on bikes, burning each other up! During the summer when the wasps were nesting I remember grabbing bricks and throwing them at it and making the nest come ...

Re: wives, partners and girlfriends

this threat went slightly off course - seems like you lot have. by and large. got hooked up with either tolerant or biker females

as for multiple bikes, maintenance and running costs are a factor as well as storage - not good to leave bikes outside if it can be helped

Re: wives, partners and girlfriends

I limit myself to 2 bikes these days.... Anymore and I find the maintenance and up keep starts to get expensive .

A project bike as a third is always nice but since moving into my partner's house a lack of space and shed/garage has stopped that (doh)

Re: Triumph Birmingham

... work. It's really light in the midlands for Triumph dealers which is bizarre being near the home of Triumph. I still use Staffordshire Triumph (BS Bikes) in Stoke. but that is a bit of a jaunt just for small things. Well, in days gone by they had Windy Corner as the nearest dealer to the factory, ...

Oi. I resemble that remark... ;)

To anyone who thinks the middle aged Lycra clad ones are the worst.... You should see the middle aged commuters on foldup bikes in London... Only one thing matters..

Re: wives, partners and girlfriends

I always remember a bmw sales lady confusingly asking me at the nec bike show why did I have 2 bikes.

My answer was I haven't got room for 3.

I don't have that excuse anymore (happy) (giggle)

I have two bikes in my shed/workshop, one is mine and the other belongs to the wife, both are reasonably new, my wife rides more than I do as she is semi retired and unfortunately I still work full time, in theory we could fit ...

Re: Bargains

DMC Birmingham had an allocation of 9 Superduke GTs and sold them all within a week. They've sold over 30 of the 390s The showroom is packed with bikes waiting to be collected. The staff told me that the GTs weren't being sold as buyers wanted to wait for the 2018 model as that comes with the Superduke ...

No apologies required, he’s got balls, but he’s losing respect and he’s done sone some good things on bikes in the past. I’ll still watch next week to see if he gets better.

Re: wives, partners and girlfriends

... a bike...we'd even do trackdays together, although we very seldom rode together on the road. But that's just L.A. - you see a lot of lasses riding bikes out here, and they're every bit as capable as the guys for the most part. And even if they often aren't quite as fast, they definitely don't seem ...

Re: wives, partners and girlfriends

Theoretically I’ve had 5 bikes at one point, but I’m back down to just the two at the moment, and come next spring probably down to one. SWMBO is fine with as many bikes as I want, however I only have room for one now, so that’s the deciding ...
