Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

I would consider one but as you say not cheap, I think really I have to come to terms with the fact that I am fat and slow so bikes like that probably suit me more haha To be honest I need to get the MT, considering I used to put in so many miles I havn't touched it in about 3 weeks which ...

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

I like the new 2018 one they've done in white and blue.

Not cheap though and they're down on power compared to other bikes in that field.

If I do drop to one bike I'm going to take a look around at a few adventure style bikes. Triumph, KTM Ducati and BMW all have some decent offerings.

I keep looking at adventure style bikes. The Versys has given me the bug. There's a good selection out there as well.

I went past an africa twin yesterday. I do really like the look of them (blush)

Re: Insurance renewal time

High mileage bumps up the premium, as does swapping bikes, you're more likely to have an accident in your first 12 months of owning a bike.

Basically I'm doing everything I can to make sure my insurance is painful.

Re: being a biker

... the mods n rockers pulled waaaay back when. as bikers we do get labelled as trouble, but then lets face it, most peoples only interaction with bikes is when they are doing 40 in a 60 and get River Island garb. I like the fact that i can do the hobby i have had for nearly 30 years and that the ...

Re: Introductions - Say "Hello" Here

Hey fidget, welcome to the site.

Good choice in bikes, I have a 990 SD as well, just not the R. The track bike looks awesome.

I'm based in Berkshire so not that far over from you, there are a few southerners round here so maybe when the weather gets a but better.

Re: Insurance renewal time

I'm bored at work so I've been having a play with online insurance quotes for various bikes. The KTM Superduke GT is over a grand. Having a look at the bikes on the Isle of Man, the MT10 and the Multi are coming in at around the £500 mark, as is the 1090 Adventure ...

Re: being a biker

... Couple that will silly acceleration and the feeling of swinging through bends perfectly and its a hard thrill to beat. As a group fo society, bikes generally seem to attract a certain decent type of person but that said there are still plenty of nobs out thhere riding bikes too.
