Re: H2R Brands Hatch lap

... and although chrono days came about to prevent that, people don't like being told they're too slow for that group - very often with expensive bikes and kit as well. I hung on in novice and Inters for too long, once I made the decision to try the Fast group I didn't look back. I did put myself ...

Re: Technical Question - Suspension

... you're on the right track, with getting the front refreshed and resprung, but as Cav pointed out its the rear that's typically very poor on most bikes, the problem is one of both cost and compromise. The oem Shock is typically a cheap unit, (unless you've bought a special model), plus it's set ...

Re: Technical Question - Suspension

Typically the rear suspension is the weak link on Japanese bikes. I'd be surprised if a fork/shock refresh made any noticeable difference without changing the springs as the oil is still pretty new and probably not had a great deal of hard use. Next time ...

Re: Yamaha R1-M with SC Project exhaust

I think some people really don't see bikes as a danger and thus seeing themselves as being quote safe...what they fail to realise is its not them its others wanting to knock you off or even the floor itself, ride over a bit of gravel, diesel, ...

I'm sure most of us have done the top speed thing in cars and bikes but you don't film it unless it's legal frankly. Plus it's not the driver, it's the people around you who can't see you coming that are the problem. I think other road users have a right ...

Kawasaki have been pioneering that for a few years Duke. They reckon new tc systems will go this way for road bikes soon or later.

Great kit but for £800 I'll continue using my wrist (blush)

Tbh after riding bikes and manually blipping on downshifts for as long as I can remember I think I may find the switch yo not blipping difficult to make.

I realise a few of you have put your bikes away for now For those of us still riding, is there any interest in having a look at some new roads and destinations around Wales while the roads are quiet? The rideouts would be to look for new places ...

Re: Project ZX6R

Aside from not having the time in the winter to clean it, the jacket I ride in gets covered in road grime so that transfers off the jacket onto the tank pad. I've used venture shield on other parts of bikes with good results but it's not up to the job on the tank for the riding I do.

Re: Kwacky's ongoing M7rr Metzeler review

The last time we were on the same bikes riding the same piece of tarmac this happened.

But by all means tell me I should be doing two corners you don't know using tyres you've never ridden at a much faster speed in the dry.
