Re: Engine Flush Yay or Nay?

... no engine issues, I'm sure it's isn't only down to using engine flush religiously every oil change, but I suspect it helped. One word of warning though, use exactly as the manufacturer says, and please ensure the sump plug can be loosened before you start, I have heard of someone that drove his ...

... soon as the oil slows to a trickle the sump bolt would be back in and filled with new oil. I did later catch him using my method on his own bike though! New oil+filter should be plenty good enough.

Not forgetting that half of them want to remain as is Binno.....and come Thursday, I suspect it will be more than half.

I can't help but understand the sentiment of your comment though, if not the finer detail.

Re: Triumph Thruxton Ace special edition unveiled

... triple at Cadwell, another MCN/Triumph joint venture was just the straw that broke the camels back I'm afraid. Perfectly true about the press ban though, every week I got a fresh load of p*ss taking about buying an "unreliable" Triumph from my MCN reading mates, because MCN kept slagging ...

Re: Insider trading: 'This year we'll be happy to sell 30 GS

... sell them. Totally agree, 10yrs ago they dominated the market, now they can barely give them away, I don't think they're heading for bankruptcy though, as their car side is buoyant, especially as VAG own 20% of Suzuki anyway. It's shame they aren't putting more money into performance bikes, ...

Re: Track bike

... are good value, the one in Salibury even has all the screw heads lined up on the dash, it's also got £100 warmers, the TDR one has got £300 of WoW though and it's 4yrs younger with lots of expensive extras. Depending on how it's been looked after, I'd say the TDR bike looks the better value.

Re: Insurance

I normally replace my bike so swap the insurance to the new one anyway.

I can understand that point totally though. Insurance is there to protect innocent party's, not the owner.

Re: Track bike

... a low cost option, was even road worthy, i.e. taxed etc... however after taking to Snet, I realised I was spoilt with my RR on track and even though it was fun it was not doing it for me. So it went back to road trim and I sold it. I took my pride and joy on track again, but was still thinking ...
